Historic Restoration
Savannah, Georgia
This 1871 residence received the Historic Savannah Foundation award for Preservation in 2016. Featured by Garden & Gun Magazine, no detail was spared in Massey Martin’s design of this outstanding home located in the historic Victorian District of Savannah. Massey Martin combined the home’s original historic details with modern-day living and a sophisticated interior sensibility. Soaring plaster ceilings, mouldings & walls were restored. Stunning soapstone mantles, heart of pine floors, & other historic features drove the interior design direction of this showcase.

The gourmet chef’s kitchen, formerly the dining room, is now the home's central hub. Massey Martin designed a palette of grays and blues that are continued throughout interior and exterior of this sophisticated, yet relaxing historic home.
Massey Martin designed a lush tropical landscaped courtyard at the rear of the residence that features a paved terrace and soothing fountain. Beyond the courtyard a newly constructed, detached carriage house was designed for guest quarters.
